Closure of Boots Site

This notice is to tell you that Spring Hall Group Practice has had to close their site at Boots, Halifax town centre.

We stopped seeing patients at this branch in March 2020 due to COVID-19, to keep patients and staff safe. Patients have still been able to use all our other sites. These are Spring Hall Medical Practice, Southowram Surgery and Queens Road Surgery.  They are all within 2 miles of the Boots site.

Boots use the space to give people COVID-19 vaccinations. They are our landlord and have told us we need to move out. This means we must close this site permanently.

We want to know how this will affect you, your family and other patients of the Spring Hall Group Practice. Please fill in a survey to tell us.

You can do this online, you can collect a survey from your practice, or call us on 07956 342 956 and we will post you a copy. The closing date is 21st July.

If you need the survey in another language or format, or need help, please call the number above.

Car Park Monitoring

As from 5th March, we will have cameras monitoring all activity in our car parks at Queens Road and Spring Hall sites. Patients and visitors calling at either of these sites will have to enter their registration numbers into the Ipads in the reception area. Failure to do so, will result in a fine.

The practice will not be responsible for any fines issued, and under no circumstances can we be involved in any disputes between anyone who has been issued with a fine, and the parking company.

Welcome to Spring Hall Group Practice

During the current pandemic we have had to put new processes in place and restricted access to some of our sites please click on the link below to read an update on how we intend to operate a phased return to Face to Face appointments.

We are confident that our website will provide clear and concise help and give our patients the information they require in an easy and convenient format. It has been designed with the patient’s needs at the forefront of everything, from checking surgery times to letting us know what you think of us.

Serving You

Our dedicated team are here to treat those minor ailments that occur as well as providing specialist management of long-term conditions and clinics covering a wide range of healthcare issues. The technology also means you can now do a lot of things from the comfort of your home such as order a repeat prescription or cancel an appointment.

Access & Facilities

The building gives easy access for prams and wheelchairs and welcomes assistance dogs (policy available at reception). There is a spacious car park with access from Gibraltar Road.

The waiting room includes a play area for children (we ask parents to supervise) and also has toilet facilities suitable for disabled patients. There is a hearing loop installed at reception. We also have a baby-changing room - please enquire at reception.

Within the building there is a chemist’s shop which dispenses prescriptions and sells over-the-counter preparations.

Partners in Care

Once registered, patients and healthcare professionals work together to ensure the most appropriate care is provided. This partnership philosophy extends even further and our active patient group exists to make sure that patient needs and the practice offering are always heading in the same direction.
